What makes glass a sustainable option?

Glass is endlessly recyclable. No matter how many times glass gets broken down and then reformed into more glass, it doesn’t degrade. Plus, the low melting point of recovered glass products means that the process of recycling glass consumes a heck of a lot less energy than a) producing new glass or b) attempting to recycle plastic.
